Why this ship matters

Cristobal Rios acquired La Sirena after leaving Starfleet in 2390 or 2391. He maintained the freighter to Starfleet standards and initialized its five Emergency Holograms through a self-scan, though deleted inherited memories later disrupted some of their normal function.

In 2399, Picard hired Rios and La Sirena to find Bruce Maddox and Soji Asha. Raffi Musiker, Agnes Jurati, Elnor, Seven of Nine, and Soji all traveled aboard during the mission.

At Coppelius, the ship was disabled by a synth orchid and crashed after the Borg Artifact's atmospheric entry shockwave. Raffi and Rios restored power with a fundamental field replicator, and Picard later flew La Sirena against the Romulan fleet while Jurati used the synth device to create an illusion of many duplicate ships.

After Rios returned to Starfleet, the ship passed to Seven of Nine for Fenris Rangers work. By 2401 she had merged the five Emergency Holograms into one and allowed the ship to collect enough damage that Rios complained about its battered condition.

Later in 2401, Seven received a Starfleet commission and La Sirena passed to Raffi Musiker, who used it as a base during her undercover Starfleet Intelligence work on M'talas Prime before rendezvousing with the USS Titan-A.
